[NIGHT TRAIN 357’S VERSE]
Optimus Primal!
You can call me Big Bot.
Download the discography
So you can see I've been hot.
Hating on me like's saying
Trump is not a bigot.
Mavado? I think not.
Your wrist watch is Big Lots!
I'm grinding everyday
In the D dot...C dot
I've been shredding rats with
Rocksteady and Bebop
Get my hands dirty when the beat's hot.
It's Hip-Hop.
Fuck her evening gown.
Give me yoga pants and flips flops.
When it's time to battle
My wife roles up the dreadlocks.
Stay on your Grizzly when
you're rolling through the city.
When I pull it out, no need to stare.
You know I know it's pretty.
This is Requiem for a Dream
And fiends are getting itchy.
You scheme small. I'm thinking of sharing scenes
On the big screen with Zoe Zaldana
In space painted in green.
Could be possibly impossible
how it seems
If you shoot for the Moon
You'll at least land in the trees.
It’s the R-O-N-E and N-I-G-H
Tee. Resurrected like Colson was in Tahiti
All I want to do is
Stay alive like a Beegee
And return back in Black
Like rocking with AC/DC
[HOOK]
Move up, get up, stand up, shake up
Rise up, make up, pull up, wake up
Man up, lift up, wait up, straight up
Rake up, pay up, stay up. Say what!
Move up, get up, stand up, shake up
Rise up, make up, pull up, wake up
Man up, lift up, wait up, straight up
Rake up, pay up, stay up. Say what!
[RONE’S VERSE]
Heard the beat
I went straight disaster
It was like giving a wagyu cow
To a jurassic raptor
I ain't gonna leave it breathing
Only person close to me, is Train
Right now me an him is even Stephen
Other than that, no equals
Everybody dies in this movie; No sequels
I'm a rap assassin, slashing
While backpacking my passion
I'm back packing the track with so many bars
Your heads bobbing so hard
You'll be grabbing an asprin
COLD!…
I know, like I'm rapping in Aspen
You gonna get these bars
I may have to force feed em
I didn't come this far to be subpar
Jedi rhyme shit
RONE! He got the force wit em
God flow. I ain't God though
The way I kill the beat
I could probably arrange to meet him…
HELLO RONE THIS IS GOD…
JUST WANTED TO SAY YOU’RE
DOING A REAL GOOD JOB.
THIS WHOLE GRAYS ALBUM REALLY GOES HARD.
Huh? The King of Kings is rapping on the track now?
Speaking to me through my raps now?
YOU’RE ONE OF MY GREATEST CREATIONS BY FAR.
RONE & TRAIN HAVE INCREDIBLE BAR…
I can't believe who I got to consort with.
Lord thanks for the endorsement!

Live Your Life

Finally reopened my savings. This check-to-check shit is driving me crazy. Every dime I make is gone so fast; hands out ready for the taking. What was I thinking? I was young. I was dumb. I thought that the little income I was making would sustain me some, but come to find out that I got it all wrong. Like the Four Tops, it’s the same old song. I need a remix just to keep going strong. Tired of feeling like the bottom of the barrel’s where I belong. One day I’ll be gone, cause God told me I don’t have that long. So until that day comes I’m going to stay here to fix the damage that I have done.
You know what’s funny? I’m at my thirties, fixing problems started in my twenties, so maybe in my forties I can hit the ground running. Unless my prime’s passed me and the sunset is coming. Not sure where to go when the goals feel stunted. You start to reevaluate what you really wanted in the beginning. Cause at the time, you’re limited to focus on the finish and survival of the fittest. “So get up and get with it,” that’s what I tell myself each and every other minute. Get up and think of the problem, and fix it. Look at the issues and all of them listed. Make a decision for making a difference and most of you make that you stay consistent. Telling yourself, in the mirror, things will get better. And leave the crib like it’s nothing; it’s whatever.

Rone’s Verse
Really, There's no right or wrong, just different decisions, different religions, different opinions giving… want to get straight to the point but the gray space impedes your vision, slow down my brother, stop hustling, rushing, sit back and listen… An ill-defined situation, is what we're normally facing, on a daily basis ya need to show some patience…
Night Train 357’s Verse
It’s complicated they say. // Everybody wants to be Spider-Man when you swoop down and save the day, but Peter Parker couldn’t make it to the hospital to see Aunt May. // Ya see, what I face are the struggles of the black and the white and the gray and the cutout space. // Meanwhile, I shut out hate. // It’s hard thinking and facing decisions you’re making. You find you’re mistaken. // Like The Force has awakened between Ren and Rey // Little dark; little light; little left; little right. Make it matter, but it might lead to answers that you like, or the opposite direction that is starting up a fight // Can’t please everybody. One day, getting praise, next day a disgrace. You can see it on my face as my hair turns gray. I could care less, hey! Gotta take it in spades until they take me away // As the cycle of life goes on, it’s deeper than right and wrong // When you’re pressured to make that call, but your people ride along. // That’s that test when you need to be strong, and you have to find energy just to keep going. And the water’s so muddy in every pond, so you need to tread carefully just to keep calm. // That’s that cautionary message when you’re dealing with depression. // Through the stresses of life can teach us all a valuable lesson. // Can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs when its time to have breakfast. // There’s regret and acceptance when you stay confident in your direction. // We’re talking ‘bout grays!
Hook:
White page. Black Ink.
Gray thoughts. That’s just what I’m thinking.
Just what I’m thinking. Angel and demons.
Inner peace seeking. Gotta let it sink in.

My Life Matters

HOOK (2x):
They said my life doesn't matter
My life doesn't matter
They said my life doesn't matter
But my life matters to me (me).
Night Train's Verse:
Deportation; vetted immigration; re-segregation. Problems affect the nation since the day of its creation. // Pipelines designed for climate devastation. // Blaming those of color for the drugs and raping. // Guns everywhere and nobody’s watching where they’re aiming. // The evidence’s in what you’re saying. // Select an administration that makes it quite clear that you surround yourself with folks that identify with your fears. // Wouldn’t let you in the store if a brother was queer. // Wouldn’t use the front door if a brother was near. // Won’t pay a woman as much unless she unbuttons her brazier. // You say all life matters but won’t support when the babies are here. // How’d you think we should react when we’ve been treated unfair? // Am I supposed to sit back and accept it, except not to object it, like it was your prime directive? No! // As I stand, God-willing and able, how’re you gonna eat without a seat at the table? // Snowflakes and avalanches extend from similar branches. // Disenfranchised are the masses, so we take advantage before the powers at be eat us away like a cancer. // Alternative facts and data are merely chitter-chatter. // How’re you gonna tell our daughters and our wives don’t matter? // How’re you gonna tell us our sons and families don’t’ matter? // How dare you try to tell me that my life doesn’t matter? Come on.
HOOK (2x):
They said my life doesn't matter
My life doesn't matter
They said my life doesn't matter
But my life matters to me (me).
