My grandfather told me this story. He told me he was on his way to work and nothing was working. One of those days where not a thing goes your way, but you need to get paid. So you deal with the pain; almost needless to say. So away, he’s was on the elevator, stationed, patiently waiting for his floor and the opening doors. And for a brief minute, he started to curse up a storm as if he really couldn’t take it no more. It only took a minute to get it out of his system, but did I mention the residual tension? There was a lady in the elevator; happened to listen, to the negativity my granddad was omitting. The rage was gone in an instant. But instead of pretending like it didn’t happen, she approached with compassion. Just as the doors would open, cause they move that fast. Before the door closed she said, “That too shall pass.” Man…That story stuck to me. It help to illustrate at an early age things won’t always go your way. Not even a minute, you can sit and complain and start finger-pointing, looking for somebody to blame. You live and learn, getting hit then you pivot. And when you get pushed down you simply change the position. Stop blaming the system for every single decision. And if the bristles are brittle, you wash it out with precision. And paint a picture that’s vivid! Still fighting to make a change and know conspiracy theories only add fuel to the flame. Don’t deviate without knowledge. Create your own lane. Sometimes it feels as if the world is going insane, like watching action movies and people say they turn off their brain. Grandma always quoted what Kenny Rogers would say:“You've got to know when to hold 'em...Know when to fold ‘em” You know...from the the Gambler!” We’ve all dealt a different hand, whether you’re Black, White, Gay, straight, woman, or man. We are the shrinking middle class, the poor, the stressed, the blessed; the disenfranchised masses. Titans on Mount Olympus, ready to clash. Even Zeus had a hard time handling that. Apollo’s chariot would rise until the sun would set. That means the ups and downs can come around so fast. For every high there’s a low and that too shall pass.

Where You At 03:34
Maryland mindset With a DC influence Listening to music That would groove or start a movement Grew up around drugs in the hood and burbs; Hustlers on the corner and bullies in the school and Sounds a bit redundant But I gotta speak my truth and Didn’t want attention So I did my best to duck down Or bustin loose; Chuck Brown, Cul-de-sac to uptown Went to high school. Wasn’t cool, but I don’t give a fuck now! ...round here... When you really don’t care Be prepared for indefinite stares ...Wish I had a time machine So I could tell a younger me To keep those middle fingers Waving up in the air! ...But now we’re in the present And my past is filled with lessons For a highway to Hell Or stairway to Heaven It’s really all depending how the Pendulum swings But one thing: I’m done pretending I don’t want a happy ending. Where you at? Where you at? Where you at, son? Where you from? Where you from? Where you from, son? Where you at? Where you at? Where you at, son? Let me break it down So, I can tell you where I come from! I’m from the 80s. I’m from black music. ...I’m from the Middleton Family Reunion I’m from the influence of Saturday morning cartoons eating Cookie Crisp until the afternoon Cleaning the gutters from the roof And anytime I was ungrateful My mom would whoop my ass And then send me to my room And the kids at school Would treat you like shit Because they’re probably Just as insecure as you... I’m from the county where Blacks Have the most success in the U.S. But honestly They still treat you like you’re useless When color’s not a issue They find new ways to divide And take pride in trying To make you feel stupid Like, “Why you draw so much?” “Why you so bright?” “Why you don’t basketball?” “Why you talk White?” Here’s a question!.. ....Why don’t you mind your business Instead of telling me how to live my life? Where you at? Where you at? Where you at, son? Where you from? Where you from? Where you from, son? Where you at? Where you at? Where you at, son? Let me break it down So I can tell you where I come from! I’ll be damned if dedicate 12 hours everyday to a job And no time for my passion! What exactly are you asking Me? If I Netflix & Chill Right now, I don’t really have Time for distractions. Break it in fractions. Full time, Part time, her time, ..Reggie Noble, time for some action! My environment pushed me To be proactive It’s not about where you’re from It’s where you at, kid! ..I’m Black, I’m White, I fall, I fight, Lion-O of the flow Give me sight beyond sight Keep it moving all night Keep it moving all night Don’t worry about a thing It’s gonna be all right! ...an average dude, but cure for the common cool I’ma keep pushing like I’m gonna lose but I never do. Where you at? Where you at? Where you at, son? Where you from? Where you from? Where you from, son? Where you at? Where you at? Where you at, son? Let me break it down So, I can tell you where I come from!

Rise Up 03:48
[Hook] When all you have in your life Is your word and your pride And they try to take that away You try to play the game Like it ain’t no thing But it means much more to me. ...How to keep your guard up When you’re knocked around... ...How you gonna rise up When they knock you down? It’s time for bars spitting hard lyrics Give you what ya’ll missing. Did ya’ll miss me? I’m here to make history. least lift up your spirits... when other rappers are having hissy fits! Chirping on their adlibs when Missy already did that shit! (Skrt) ...Let me show the wickedness of my Penmanship Narcissist! BoJack Horseman Of the apocalypse! Wesley Snipe you like Blade Conveying the sharpest artist No garbage I’m on it Until the day they cart away my carcass Honestly...being modest Is hardly the way to profit Ancestors picking tobacco and cotton… Until they rise up and suddenly there is a problem. Not shocking Because you’re gonna fight back When you’re all out of options Think of this as a message to stop it... You tripping balls not bars. Last I checked to my knowledge. That Molly prolly get you bodied Hardly making money moves Unless you be Cardi B in the party Sorry but not sorry! [Hook] When all you have in your life Is your word and you pride And they try to take that away You try to play the game Like it ain’t no thing But it means much more to me. ...How to keep your guard up When you’re knocked around... ...How you gonna rise up When they knock you down? No one.. is gonna keep on growin' Unless you’re related to me Like X-23 to Logan I see your blurred speech Needs to get back in to focus Don’t block the current Currently I think that we are flowing They try gentrify our city But we’re still on our grizzly I show what I got like Like Rick & Morty when they get Schwifty Community is everything to me Rest In Peace Nipsey... Hustle harder and connect With people that will feel me — If not...go ahead and get got We don’t tolerate shit on this block Cause in the real world you’re not talking tough You’re a target acting like a big shot ...Don’t get pissed off if a I call you out and you feel shocked I hit hard and you get popped With more punch lines than Chris Rock And this is not about an ego ...It’s more about fighting evils ...Who are jealous of the notion Of us growing as a people. Now it’s time for that challenge Playing the game with no cheat code It doesn’t cost a lot So pay attention to where we go. [Hook] When all you have in your life Is your word and your pride And they try to take that away You try to play the game Like it ain’t no thing But it means much more to me. ...How to keep your guard up When you’re knocked around... ...How you gonna rise up When they knock you down? Flow baptized me the water had to bless me Find me in Bermuda With a pair new Jet skies crowd gave an “Aye” If you ever wanna test me In this league the great one The rapping Wayne Gretzky get it on the floor (Get it) Get it on the floor (Keep) Keep you head rocking Til you can’t no more Kill it now lyrical Salute me like a general If you knock me down I’m gonna rise up for another round!

[VERSE 1]: I don’t really care what you think about me! Let’s go a little deeper on the subject while we’re on it. You need what I offer. Sporadic like Jackson Pollack. Got reach like an Apostle but my Creed is Adonis! My daily routine would Make most of you so exhausted You’d probably vomit or pass out Around seven o’clock-ish! But I gotta keep rocking No stopping... Any interruption to my process Could quickly hinder my progress Congressional Black Caucus, To stages with Craig Robinson Rapping with Traprock And for hall of fame martial artists I do it all for my mother RIP to my father Used his name Night Train To pay homage and take it farther If you’re not paying my bills Don’t comment or bother Iron sharpens iron And I’m trying to get even sharper And if you’re not about solutions Then you are part of the problem! And for everyone that’s with me Prepare to do it up proper! [HOOK]: 🎵I’m on my own Must be strong And I know What’s going on And if I don’t I play along! And I’m not finished Until I’m done! 🎵Til I’m Done Til I’m done And I’m not finished Until I’m done! Til I’m Done Til I’m done And I’m not finished Until I’m done! [VERSE 2]: Build it up then burn it all down with Gasoline and matches May sound sporadic but there is A method to the madness Let go of my attachments like a Jedi Masters... But adaptive like Sith Lords switching up the tactics The simple fact is When you’re young life is magic But then reality strikes back And causes disenchantment. You may feel stuck But don’t ignore all your advances The lie we tell our kids Is that adults have all the answers Take advantage of all the information granted And seek out more knowledge Than a lot of folks can manage! Too many are okay With being below average. Do it up then do it big Then do it Supermassive Stop asking! Stop being passive! Life is how you make it But also a game chances A mixed bag of madness Try keep your sanity Advancing to success Pass the bruises and the scratches! [HOOK]: 🎵I’m on my own I Must be strong And I know What’s going on And if I don’t I play along! And I’m not finished Until I’m done! 🎵Til I’m Done Til I’m done And I’m not finished Until I’m done! Til I’m Done Til I’m done And I’m not finished Until I’m done! [VERSE 3]: You gotta move a little closer. Get it done! You gotta get lower Get it done! And it ain’t over till it’s over. Get it done! You’ve got a weight up on your shoulder, but you get it done! And through the struggle don’t forget You’re not the only one. You have to get aboard Before the mothership gone. Although the world is full of problems And the list is long There’s someone out there working Just as hard to keep it going. —- A.S.D.T. and me are like besties specially when we rhyme with best beats Wreck it like Ralph. What were you expecting? Well...(I don’t) care and stuff, but I care enough to set an example of how ample I trample the track. Take it to the max! From the front, to the back, to the side, to the lady with backstage pass. Ya’ll don’t know how to act! ......Brace for the attack with shoulder pads like you’re playing Madden with the Green Bay Packers! from Maryland but I’m Barry Allen I’m from DC but I’ll B-More faster ...Melody..telling me..F all the jealously. Stick a fork in me. I am D-O-N-E! (done)

[Verse 1] Every generation...talks about their generation with rose colored glasses But actually the way masses act feel so redacted to avoid certain facts that obscure acts that may have happened in the past. I see it all the time don’t know if I should cry or laugh. But if I stop to reply That’s like wasting time and a half. ...Too much hatred weighing harder on my patience Wishing one day I can change the rules of engagement. But until that day comes I must avoid you like the plague If not, the negative is too quick to invade. Wish there was a better way But when you open yourself up too much It’s too easy for someone to leave you in disarray I keep my circle smaller because really at this age I’ve learned who has my corner And who keeps up with my pace As for everybody else There’s only so much I can take if I dare try to engage already know it’s a mistake. [HOOK] Our Mission To live in harmony Is undercut but our ambition [The victim of the human condition] You want success At someone else’s expense? Will it change up your decision? [The victim of the human condition] Are you truly alive Or do you justify your suffering through existence [The victim of the human condition] The truth is in the foundation Pay attention Listen to the definition [The victim of the human condition] If I say something in error it’s Pretty much imperative To find a way to flip my words To twist and fit your narrative. Sometimes you want to fight it Not to live with this embarrassment They banter and they bicker As to challenge your intelligence It all stems from arrogance Ego is the evil that consumes us Divides us all and causes All disparagement I don’t need the negativ...ity I have my own demons And energy and attitude Really is not helping it. Don’t comment, don’t post, Don’t troll, lose your soul Ain’t nothing new to bitch about It’s really getting old. Even complaining about it now Seems a bit hypocritical But still have explain Why I’m tired of it all! Everyone’s a naysayer. You use to give us layers Shoot the schools and legislators Now just give us thoughts and prayers ..... All you wanna do is shout a bit ...Post share criticize Just please leave me out of it! [HOOK] Our Mission To live in harmony Is undercut but our ambition [The victim of the human condition] You want success At someone else’s expense? Will it change up your decision? [The victim of the human condition] Are you truly alive Or do you justify your suffering through existence [The victim of the human condition] The truth is in the foundation Pay attention Listen to the definition [The victim of the human condition] I am love. I am life. I am death. I am everything have when you have nothing left. I’m anxiety. I’m rage. I’m compassion. I am sympathy and understanding. I am positive and negative reactions. I am the cause of the grand illusion. I’m limitless creative range... I’m cause of climate change... But all I want’s the finer things... I think I’m above the law... I’m an angel. I’m the devil. I am GOD. I am everything below and I am all of the above. I am the problem and solution The shackler of chains and the cause of revolution The loss and gains I am the healer hear to help and the cause of all the pain. ....I am greed. I am corrupt. But I do it all for love. I am the holder truth and creator of fiction I am loudest in the room I am the last one to listen I am a walking contradiction the victim of the human condition

[Verse: 1] Such a beautiful moment In time and space Can be replaced; twisted and disjointed Cause you made the wrong connection And it’a time for atonement I’m living life And keeping it rolling And too many are on the side of annoying ...That means they’re negative intentions Are definitely an extension Of their built up aggression after failing on the testing at the end of life lessons that lead with so many questions. mere presence gave me the message To get more involved through it all wasn’t your fault But you setting me off So in that way... I probably was seeing Through you, an example of What I shouldn’t believe in. You need to settle down, Beavis Cause when we butt heads I rethink if the anger was Necessarily needed At end of the day I’m not losing sleep and Rest easy Peace of mind is my kind of achievement [HOOK] Keeping it moving But lose no sleep over you Winning and losing But lose no sleep over you Keep up what I’m doing But lose no sleep over you Avoid the confusion And lose no sleep over you [Verse: 2] If you don’t like my tone You need to move on You like how I’m living You need go home. When I was young I use to mow lawns Shovel snow; Got to work This and that and so on Years later here you come To tell me what I do wrong didn’t live your life so your advice could probably do harm But in your eyes you only see Words as new law. I appreciate you But don’t talk to me like a newborn I make mistakes and pay for it Every day Hindsight’s 20/20 I think about a differently approach every situation I’ve been force to face So I don’t need your two cents That you’re giving away by the time that you decide To intervene or scrutinize I can confirm 9/10th the time I’ve already overanalyzed. To no surprise I live my life And always self-criticize To self-improve another night Just before I close my eyes. [HOOK] Keeping it moving But lose no sleep over you Winning and losing But lose no sleep over you Keep up what I’m doing But lose no sleep over you Avoid the confusion And lose no sleep over you

[Verse 1] Everyone on their social channels Posting places they have traveled But sometimes all of their travels Start really making me baffled Seems a little finite But Sonnying the bright light Taking selfies; pretty pics We only see the highlights Well might I try To see a few sites ‘fore I die So that’s why I decide To leave it...behind Even briefly but for me I Know that is a challenge Cause I’ve had a bit of struggle With the Work to Life Balance The hustle’s always standing But the world is steadily passing So now it’s time for action Grab the bags and start packing be more proactive plans to travel distant lands Wanna see what’s out there not getting any younger, man. [HOOK] A simple trip what some would say But it mean a little more to me (Chicago waddup) I’m calling it my happy place When reality’s too much to face (Chicago waddup) Sometimes you need a special space Where the bad thoughts can’t invade (Chicago waddup) Gotta use my vacation days So it’s time for me to get away! (Chicago waddup) [Verse 2] Some of you are wondering now Why Chi-Town It’s not about the place More bout what it represented I rarely would mention Without apprehension Vacation or breaking In a statement or sentence And then when I sat down And made a decision I heard about a nerdy Transformer convention I pushed it back to the side Like a side mission And I had some friends I swear I said that I would go and visit Now for most of ya’ll that’s nothing But me it’s life while Working day and night Other keep their frequent flyer miles I could finally take a trip And pay my rent And still have money to spend A small accomplishment An experience that makes you Wanna go again Minus the winters of Lake Michigan DMV’s metro system to the CTA The blue line and I will find my way (so Chicago waddup!) [HOOK] A simple trip what some would say But it mean a little more to me (Chicago waddup) I’m calling it my happy place When reality’s too much to face (Chicago waddup) Sometimes you need a special space Where the bad thoughts can’t invade (Chicago waddup) Gotta use my vacation days So it’s time for me to get away! (Chicago waddup) [Verse 3] The lesson is to have a place or a frame of mind Where you can de-stress And leave all of your cares behind Have a spot by O’Hare Or the middle of nowhere Like Jake and Finn’s Adventure Time... ...And I can take you with me A whole new world Like a magic carpet ride Ardamus is on the track Dale and Eric are jamming I’m on the mic with you by my side! (with the purple light) [HOOK] A simple trip what some would say But it mean a little more to me (Chicago waddup) I’m calling it my happy place When reality’s too much to face (Chicago waddup) Sometimes you need a special space Where the bad thoughts can’t invade (Chicago waddup) Gotta use my vacation days So it’s time for me to get away! Let take it further... Smooth it out for remix The the beat is practically murder. I think I got your attention And now you’re making me nervous. Screaming for my savior Like I was in Sunday service. ...Keep it calm Like you’re not even bothered Gotta be strategic So we can last longer. This is not about tonight I’m feeling something stronger Trying to grow with you And teach the youth like the Obamas Without you I would probably be a gonna It don’t matter she’s On my mind! Straight jacket. Padded room How could I be mad at you? Gordon Lu, Bruce Lee Still wanna kick it more than Jim Kelly movies! Hook: I’m winning Trying to making a living But I keep hooking up With these crazy women They drive me crazy Please don’t save me I’m winning Trying to making a living But I keep hooking up With these crazy women They drive me crazy Please don’t save me [Verse 2] She’s driving me crazy But I don’t think I may care Please don’t save me Au contraire ma soeur Why you gonna lay there? She don’t even play fair Temping me with mysteries Of Daria Mayfair Feel it in the night air I don’t wanna be bad Power that she has Could simple drive me mad Praying like a heathen With an extra pair of knee pads. Looking round the corner For a Bowie knife and ski mask Obsession and this sensual tension making me feel like She was sent from Heaven Or a darker dimension Got me pleading and beggin’ But she leave me a mess and This is more a confession Than a tale with a lesson That your lady friends can Drive you wild if only you let them. That’s the power that they have Like some kind of possession. Frank Sinatra witchcraft (Every time I want to get out She keep dragging me back in) ...But I’m okay with that. I’m winning.... Hook: I’m winning Trying to making a living But I keep hooking up With these crazy women They drive me crazy Please don’t save me I’m winning Trying to making a living But I keep hooking up With these crazy women They drive me crazy Please don’t save me [Verse 3] Make em move... Make em cry... Make em put they’re hands up In the sky! I wanna show Let me know ...Relax yourself and sugar Lo flow! Make em move... Make em cry... Make em put they’re hands up In the sky!
